Being me

My work explores chaos, entropy, and abstraction. Each piece reflects the tension between darkness and light that shapes our inner lives.

I work primarily in abstract expressionist styles using charcoal, India ink, and oil and cold wax. Watercolors, acrylics, dyes and other inks let me lean into unpredictability.

This practice is a form of art therapy. It helps me process stress and childhood trauma. But it's not all dark. My friends and family appear in my work too, bringing balance. The German concept of Sehnsucht, a deep longing, runs through many pieces.

The hardest part is balancing control with intuition. Every stroke is a negotiation between intention and instinct.

I want viewers to see if my work reflects their own buried emotions, especially the difficult ones we all face. My hope is that my art becomes a mirror, a space to sit with what lies beneath the surface.
